When I put pen to paper it was my way of finding a release within to express my thoughts during the most traumatic time of my life.
My diary was like having a friend that I could go back to: to read the pages of days gone by and to reflect on how I felt and why I wrote what I had written.
I could escape into my own world and treated my diary as if it was my own bible of principles to live by.

In the New Testament Mathew 10:14 says if anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave the house.
———————————————————-
It was only recently that I heard my priest speak of this passage of Mathew and use the message in a story at a Sunday mass. I was unaware that these words were preached in the bible, let alone when I was 16 years of age, but today it should apply to all of us.
‘Josie Released from Within’ is based on a true story.
After telling my personal story as I saw it through my eyes, it has become clear that not everyone who has been a part of my life in the past are willing to embrace the virtues of my story ahead of their own perceived self-interests. Having now reached this point in my life I now have the wisdom to accept the things I cannot change.
Publishing my story gave me a better understanding of many things including my own reflection on life’s learning’s having experienced trials and triumphs.
One of my biggest triumphs is meeting and getting to know the positive and supportive people that have come into my life and this is such a blessing.
So in these cases we are encouraged to adopt Mathew’s words of advice and shake off the dust of those who hold you back and embrace the people who support you and give you air to soar.
